:gilbert:

I'm a security professional working as a Senior Security Architect in Sydney, Australia.

I've been a security advicate for as long as I can remember and decided to put up this site to make a contribution to community.

My goal is to identify security issues, vulnerabilities and exploits (local and remote) as they are discovered, using a custom methodology . Targeting Operating Systems, Applications, daemons, web applications...basically anything I have access to.

I have given security advise and commentary in articles, magazines and online articles. Interviewed on radio programs and presented at conferences.

I'm into research and development in network security. I like to understand the advances and techniques of mal-ware, especially where it incorporates network aware attacks. For example, I regard the author of the SQL.Slammer worm as a genius.

Apart from work, I have interests in track/circuit racing in road cars. Otherwise, I try to get some bouldering time between work..

I'm Johnny. I hack stuff. At least that's the motto of my web page,
http://johnny.ihackstuff.com. I've been into computers since I was a kid and as much as I hate to admit it I find myself fitting more comfortably into the "old school" category these days.

As an official "Jack of All Trades, Master of None" I've floated the tech landscape for many years, and can honestly say I have no specially. My skill lies in approaching problems in unique ways and serving as a catalyst for the really smart types.

I've worked as a "professional hacker" for quite a few years breaking into networks, applications, and secure facilities in the pursuit of ultimate security for my clients. These days I get paid to tell the good guys how to keep themselves from getting pwnt.
